In an age shaped by social media and the internet, I believe it’s time to reconsider the two-party system and what American politics should truly represent.
George Washington cautioned against the dangers of political parties, warning that ambitious individuals could exploit them to undermine the people’s will and seize control of government.
As a conservative, I certainly wasn’t thrilled with every election result. However, it made me reflect on a bigger question: Why should our political identity, whether liberal or conservative, matter more than the responsibilities of those elected to represent us?
Perhaps we should focus less on whether an official wears red or blue and more on whether they genuinely understand the needs of their constituents and prioritize the well-being of American citizens.
Legislation, accountability, and public service should be at the heart of American politics. No red, no blue, no labels. Just capable men and women willing to put the American people before their political ambitions.
